House S. was designed for a young family in Karlsruhe, which is located at the valley of the rhine river. Concerning temperature and humidity it is one of the most challenging places in germany.

Design task was to develop a building that is technologically far above the average.
the energy supply is completely independent from fossil fuels, with maximum efficiency concerning heating and cooling by activated building components.
all materials are chosen with relation to their best possible energy performance. the integrated solar roof with premium photovoltaic- elements guarantees independance for the future power supply.

A bus information system allows the owner to manage all building functions via his mobile phone from every place in the world.
concerning sustainability and energy demand the building is an outstanding example, confirmed by its exterior and interior architecture, that could be described as modern classic.
the energy demand of the building is less than 40 kWh/m2a.
